MyMatrix™ ReStart Program©
Creating positive conversations with young people
Introduction
The MyMatrix™ ReStart Program© is designed for young people to build self worth, confidence and give life direction.
It provides a framework for meaningful conversations about important life issues.
The program helps define character qualities, creates a positive identity, identifies passions and enables the young person see where they fit into the matrix of their life.
The desired outcomes are for a young person to take increased responsibility for their life and situation, enhance their empathy towards others and have a range of actions they can implement that will enable them to function more positively within their family and community.
Structure
The MyMatrix Restart Program comprises 12 interactive sessions one on one with a facilitator, mentor, friend or parent.
Each session relates to a Key Life Area (KLA) and focuses on an Essential Character Quality (ECQ) needed to realise a positive outcome in that area.
At the end of each session the young person identifies an action they can do to take a practical step to realise a more positive result in that Key Life Area than they have previously experienced.
The 12 My Matrix key life areas with their corresponding ECQ's are as follows:

Tools
For each individual MyMatrix Restart Program there are two books. One is the A3 workbook that the young person completes for each session, (illustrated on the right). The other the guide and notebook for the facilitator.
Each A3 workbook section is based on iconic graphic images that relate to that particular Key Life Area. The young person progressively completes the page throughout the session. The relevant information is printed on each KLA page to help the young person complete the section.
The facilitator handbook contains the structure, key questions and prompts to enable the facilitator to guide the young person to work effectively through each Key Life Area section.
